Precision machining is one of the many custom manufacturing services offered at our CNC machine shop. It’s not just about producing parts with high quality, it’s also about maximizing value for our customers. We will help you evaluate whether your parts are good candidates for precision machining or if there are other processes that might be better suited to your needs.
There are many ways to machine metal parts with complex shapes. CNC machining has been used for over 30 years in the manufacture of automotive, aerospace, military, and other industrial products.
To be able to work with aluminum takes a lot of skill and precision—our engineers are some of the top professionals in their field of manufacturing engineering technology. We employ computer numeric control (CNC) machines that work with metal templates and carve shapes into large sheets of aluminum or other metals through a variety of cutting methods such as milling or turning. The CNC machine’s axes provide three-dimensional movement around an object, which can be programmed by input from a CAD/CAM software for parts including construction equipment, electrical enclosures and even boat hulls!
Grades for Aluminum Machining
Our skilled craftsmen are experts when it comes to aluminum. We specialize in flat bar, angle, channel, sheet and tubing. Our in-house capability can handle all shapes of aluminum stock you might need, including:
- 2000 Series
- 6000 Series
- 7000 Series
The complex nature of 3-axis machining can be intimidating, but it’s easy to manage with the right training. Competent CAD technicians are necessary for this process because their expertise ensures that all data input is correct.

Aluminum Machining for Different Industries
Aluminum is an excellent metal for many uses. It has a low weight-to-strength ratio, it’s non-corrosive to other metals, durable and lightweight. Organizations use aluminum for everything from building construction to product design. It is also versatile enough to be used as an agricultural crop protection factor or even packaging material!
Silver Engineering Works is here to help manufacturers design a product’s shape before they make a prototype—we don’t require clients to go through an extensive process before we start machining their project. With our experience and expertise, we can help your company streamline your process by providing you with quality designs that will fit your budget while improving efficiency!
